Our desire at Hope Church is to cultivate a gospel-centered community in Carbondale through reflection and discussion of the person of Jesus Christ in the context of meaningful connection with other people that leads to authentic worship, genuine relationships and meaningful lives.
Simply put, we are a group of people who cherish the gospel.The word gospel means “good news.”By saying “gospel-centered community,” we mean people who find hope, joy and strength in the incredible good news that in Jesus Christ, even though we are flawed and sinful, we are at the same time forgiven and more loved than we ever thought possible.This message liberates us and calls us into relationship with Christ, following Him into a life of meaning, purpose and service.
As we grow in our relationship with Jesus a transformation takes place. We begin to value what He values.We are motivated to move out of our own comfort zones into a world in need.
